Gregory's Driving School, Inc. FAQ's

Gregory's Driving School, Inc.'s contact information is listed on your webpage. How can I find out if it is an approved behind the wheel training school in Texas?
Even though we provide a list of driver training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is licensed by the Texas DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Gregory's Driving School, Inc. directly or check with the Texas DMV to find out for sure if Gregory's Driving School, Inc. is a licensed school.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
Do I need to tell Gregory's Driving School, Inc. that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift automobile.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift vehicle!  We recommend that you ask Gregory's Driving School, Inc. if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift automobile before you register for their driver training course.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with Gregory's Driving School, Inc. include learning how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from Gregory's Driving School, Inc. will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Gregory's Driving School, Inc. or the Texas DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Texas.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in Laredo Texas?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to sign up for both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
Texas's DMV has told me that I need to take a driver training course. Do you know if Gregory's Driving School, Inc. offers this course or not?
Gregory's Driving School, Inc. does offer the behind-the-wheel training course that Texas requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses Gregory's Driving School, Inc. offers, we recommend that you contact Gregory's Driving School, Inc. directly.
What steps do I have to take in order to get a Texas drivers license in Laredo Texas?

Is hands-on driver training required in Texas in order to be licensed to drive a car?

Will Texas allow me to sign up to take a driver training course before I actually receive my learner's permit?
