Exodus Driving School FAQ's

Can you tell me if Exodus Driving School is a certified driver training school in Georgia?
Although Exodus Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach hands-on driving courses in Georgia.  We recommend either calling Exodus Driving School directly or the Georgia DMV to find out whether or not Exodus Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that are state-approved.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Georgia?
Each state has its own rules regarding driver training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for taking a behind-the-wheel training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Georgia DMV to find out for sure.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle? Will Exodus Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of automobile--stick-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Exodus Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will Exodus Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a non-urban environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Exodus Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact Exodus Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Can I get my Georgia instruction permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the minimum age to obtain a learner's permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driver training school like Exodus Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Georgia.
Do I have to take a Atlanta Georgia classroom or online drivers education course before I can sign up to take a driver training course through Exodus Driving School?
This requirement varies by state but most states do mandate new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course.  You should ask Exodus Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
I am looking to enroll in a Atlanta Georgia behind-the-wheel training course. Can Exodus Driving School assist me with this?
Yes.  Drivers education courses are available in Atlanta Georgia through Exodus Driving School.  Please contact Exodus Driving School directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
Exactly what type of driver training do I need in Atlanta Georgia before I can get my Georgia driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to enroll in a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as Exodus Driving School and ask if they offer a Georgia-approved  behind-the-wheel training course which would meet Georgia's driver's education requirements.
Is there a law in Georgia that says I have to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Georgia mandates that all teen-agers enroll in an approved driver training course before receiving a Georgia driver's license.
Will Georgia allow me to sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my learner's permit?
