ADI Driving School FAQ's

Is ADI Driving School a certified driving school in Michigan?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer driver training courses in Michigan.  We highly recommend that you contact ADI Driving School directly or the Michigan DMV to find out for sure if ADI Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of Michigan.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driving school instructor like the ones they have at ADI Driving School?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the Michigan DMV or a licensed driving school like ADI Driving School to find out if Michigan allows driver training with a parent.
I can't drive a manual-shift. Will ADI Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training on an automatic-shift vehicle?
We recommend that you contact ADI Driving School and ask them if you can do your driver training using a vehicle that has an automatic shift before signing up to take their driver training course.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will ADI Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a non-urban environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a rural area, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as ADI Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact ADI Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Now that I'm 14, will Michigan allow me to get a learner's permit to drive?
Not likely.  Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for an instruction permit.  We recommend that your contact the Michigan DMV office or a Michigan-approved driver training institute such as ADI Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in Michigan.
Do I have to take both a defensive driving classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Detroit Michigan to get my Michigan driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers enroll in a defensive driving classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like ADI Driving School and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
If I need to register for a Detroit Michigan driving school, can ADI Driving School help?
Yes.  ADI Driving School offers driving courses in Detroit Michigan.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training ADI Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
I live in Detroit Michigan. What are the requirements for me to be able to get my first Michigan driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Michigan, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a safe driving classroom course and a driver training course.  ADI Driving School may offer courses which would fulfill the driver training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
Do I have to take a Detroit Michigan driver training course in order to get a driver's license?
