Inter Driving School FAQ's
How do I know if Inter Driving School is certified by California's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include Inter Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether Inter Driving School is licensed by the State of California. We recommend that you either contact Inter Driving School directly or possibly the California DMV to find out if Inter Driving School is a licensed driver training school.
Do you know if I can complete my behind-the-wheel training with my mother or father instead of attending a behind-the-wheel training course like the ones offered by Inter Driving School?
Some states allow teen-agers to complete their driver training with their parents instead of attending a professional driving school. We recommend that you contact the California DMV or Inter Driving School directly to find out if California allows parent-taught driver training.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle? Will Inter Driving School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of vehicle--manual-shift or automatic-shift! However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Inter Driving School and let them know before you register for their driver training course. That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a small mountain town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with Inter Driving School include being taught how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to know how to drive safely in the local area. Therefore, chances are good that the driver training you receive from Inter Driving School will include handling dirt roads and mountain driving.
Can 14-year-olds get learner's permits to drive in California?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for an instruction permit at 15 or 15 1/2. However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to get an instruction permit. You may want to contact the California DMV or a California-approved driver training school like Inter Driving School to find out what the minimum age to drive is in California.
Do I have to complete a Lynwood California drivers education classroom course or online course before registering for one of Inter Driving School's driver training courses?
Each state has its own rules, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a driver training course plus either a drivers education classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online defensive driving course. You may want to ask Inter Driving School if they offer one or both programs.

Inter Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the driver training requirement in California. Please contact either Inter Driving School or the California DMV for more information.
Is hands-on driver training required in California in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle?
