Maverick Driving School is listed on your website as a driving school which offers driver training courses. How do I know if Maverick Driving School is a certified school in Texas?
While we include a list of driver training schools on our website for your convenience, we cannot guarantee that every single one of them is currently licensed by the Texas DMV.  We suggest you contact Maverick Driving School directly or the Texas DMV to find out if Maverick Driving School is a fully-accredited driving school.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Texas?
Each state has its own laws regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised driver training as a substitute for attending a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Texas DMV to find out for sure.
Do you know if Maverick Driving School will let me take my behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a stick-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a stick OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Maverick Driving School and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their behind-the-wheel training course.
Since I live way out in the country where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will Maverick Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?

If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in Texas?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Maverick Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Texas.
Do I have to take a Burleson Texas classroom or online drivers education course before I can sign up to take a driver training course through Maverick Driving School?
This requirement varies from state to state but most states do mandate pre-licensed drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should ask Maverick Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
