Anytime Driving School FAQ's
Can you tell me if Anytime Driving School is a licensed driver training school in California?
Although Anytime Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach behind-the-wheel training courses in California. We recommend either calling Anytime Driving School directly or the California DMV to find out whether or not Anytime Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that are state-approved.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to enroll in a professional behind-the-wheel training course?
It depends on which state you live in. There are some states which permit you to do your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school. However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course. We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does Anytime Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle! However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call Anytime Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
Since I live way out in a rural area where driving on dirt roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will Anytime Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Anytime Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and rugged terrain. We recommend that you contact Anytime Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Now that I'm 14, will California allow me to get an instruction permit to drive?
Not likely. Most states require residents to be at least 15 or 15 1/2 years old before applying for a learner's permit. We recommend that your contact the California DMV office or a California-approved driver training institute such as Anytime Driving School to learn more about the minimum driving age requirement in California.
Can I take Anytime Driving School's driver training course before taking a Palmdale California defensive driving classroom course or online course?
It depends on what California's laws prescribe. However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on California's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course. We recommend that you contact Anytime Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
I have to complete a driver training class in Palmdale California before California will give me my driver's license. Does Anytime Driving School offer this type of course?

Is it necessary for me to take a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get my first California driver's license?
